Recommended Applications for Electrical Wires

Hard Wire: The Preferred Choice for Concealed Wiring. For fixed installations-such as in-wall conduit runs and ceiling wiring-hard wire offers superior reliability. A spot-check report from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development indicates that, in residential fire incidents, the circuit failure rate for systems utilizing BV-type hard wire is 32% lower than that of systems using BVR-type wiring.

Soft Wire: Recommended for Mobile Devices. For applications requiring frequent movement-such as power strips and lighting fixture connections-the use of RV-type soft wire is recommended. Research conducted by Panasonic Corporation (Japan) suggests that the use of flexible connection cables can reduce the failure rate of small household appliances by 40%.

Special Handling for High-Current Applications. For wiring circuits exceeding 6 square millimeters in cross-sectional area, if the use of soft wire is unavoidable, a double-layer insulation structure must be employed. A case study involving the renovation of a power substation demonstrated that 10-square-millimeter BVR wiring-when paired with cold-press terminals-achieved a level of stability comparable to that of hard wire.
